Expeditions

At the very core of Pan Global Plants is a deep desire by director Nick Macer to observe and understand plants in their wild state. The wild places of the world often contain an immense genetic variability within even one species, most often not represented within that species in cultivation.

There are thousands of species, even new genera, that are yet to be discovered and many of them are threatened with extinction before they are even formally described.

If you thought the days of planthunting came to an end in the early part of the last century you are sorely mistaken. Since the early 1990’s Nick has studied plants in their wild habitats in many countries worldwide:
