Collected at a whopping 3900m on Nevado de Colima, Jalisco, Mexico, this made an attractive dense clump of very fine green leaves about 75cm across and up to 75cm in flower; the whole effect being particularly wispy. For well drained soil in full sun.

Originally collected at 3050m east of Mexico city, this beautifully elegant grass has variably narrow foliage and extremely handsome heads of flower which emerge silvery-green and bleach out to a white-straw colour, as does the rest of the plant eventually, as the season progresses. My plants have reached approx. 1.5m high in flower. For well drained soil in sun.
