Frampton Village

The village is worth a visit on its own as it is a beauty, boasting the longest village green in England; a great strip of green with three ponds, flanked either side by an eclectic mix of buildings, many of which are ancient. Whilst watering my plants throughout the summer months, I listen to the mellow, quintessentially English sound of cricket matches over the high walls of my garden.

Other attractions include Severnside walks, the Severn Bore, the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at Slimbridge and Berkeley Castle, not to mention Westonbirt arboretum in the fabulous South Cotswolds very nearby.

Food and drink

can be found at The Bell or the Three Horse Shoes on the Green, or for those more discerning, The Old Passage Inn at Arlingham is locally famous for its fresh fish and its fine Severnside location.
