A year can make all the difference! Though in this case a lack of time to get stuck in has resulted in a moderate improvement. Could do better, 5/10.

grow blooming fast once past the juvenile stage.

Puya alpestris x chilensis. Aquired as P. alpestris, but interesting nonetheless.

Kniphofia 'Tawny King', one of the best, flank a glossy green leaved Polylepis sp. from Argentina.

Agave americana fills out rather well, and starts to give a hint of floppiness - a sure sign it's settling in and rooting out vigorously.

The giant, almost Aloe-like leaves of Kniphofia northiae softened by a haze of Eragrostis curvula S&SH10.
